Kurgo Backseat Barrier is an excellent soft wall barrier that attaches to the back of your front seats, creating a soft wall between the front seats. Your canine can enjoy a ventilated view from behind through the fitted mesh in between the front seats.

The Kurgo Backseat Barrier is a low-profile design crafted from sturdy 600 D Nylon and Ultrasuede. It features integrated horizontal and vertical bars to support the structure and is fitted with a storage pocket and cup holder for backseat passengers. The barrier can be installed in cars with fixed or removable headrests.

Note that the Kurgo Backseat Barrier is not suited for 2-door cars or minivans.

Installation Instructions:

  • Before installing, locate the horizontal steel support rod stored in the vertical support rod pocket.
  • Remove it and put it into the horizontal support rod pocket.
  • Position the barrier with the Kurgo logo facing the back of the car.
  • Remove the two front headrests and place the two D-rings at the top of the Backseat Barrier over the plastic posts, then reattach the headrest.
  • Repeat it with the passenger headrest.
  • Clip the hooks at the bottom of the Backseat Barrier to the bottom of the seat by either clipping them to the underside of the front seat’s base plate or springs or by running the straps around the outside footing of each chair.
  • Then, secure the straps by tightening both the top headrest straps and the under-seat straps on each side.
  • If you cannot remove the headrest, begin by pulling the top headrest strap out of its buckle and then wrapping it around the driver’s headrest.
  • Insert the strap back through the inner D-ring, bringing the belt back around the headrest, and run it through the top tension buckle, repeating on the passenger side headrest.

The Kurgo Backseat Barrier comes in a dimension of 55.5 cm x 7.5 cm x 68.5 cm and weighs 0.821 g.
