Cats with sensitive digestive tracts can have trouble absorbing all the healthy nutrients they need for optimal wellbeing. Some cats are sensitive to certain ingredients in their food and treats, or they are simply genetically prone to having a sensitive tummy. Some cats make gastronomic mistakes – i.e. they eat things they are not supposed to – which can lead to unpleasant bouts of diarrhoea and/or vomiting.

For any instances of digestive upset, imbalance or recovery from gastrointestinal issues, Pet Hero has a product to help your cat!

How do you keep a cat’s digestive system healthy?

Ideally, your precious purry needs a high-quality cat food, giving her all the right nutrients for health and wellbeing. However, some cats need help to get their gut functioning correctly before they are able to absorb these nutrients. They may have an imbalance due to genetics, acute or chronic stress, or a negative reaction to something they ate. To reintroduce some balance to your cat’s gut health, they need prebiotics, probiotics, digestive enzymes, electrolytes (especially after a bout of stomach upset) and other necessary nutrients.

What can I give my cat for digestion?

Sometimes your cat may leave a bit of a messy situation in her litterbox instead of the neat, well-formed poops you may have come to know. (She’s purrobably just as upset about it as you are…) If she is showing other distressing symptoms, you should get your vet to recommend a solution, which may involve a consultation just in case. If, however, it seems like her system is simply out of sync, browse these digestive health support products, which will improve your cat’s appetite and help her to feel like the cat’s whiskers again.
