Bull terrier, Dexter, nearly loses his life to save owner from cobra – Cape Town

Dexter the bull terrier saved his owner Tracey’s life and nearly lost his own in the process. A cobra, one of South Africa’s most venomous snakes, but the very brave bull terrier when the owner climbed out of her car and saw the snake. Dexter did not hesitate to grab the cobra to save Tracey’s life.

Tracey then rushed to the hospital to save Dexter’s life, where she was told he had a 50% chance of surviving. The amazing little fighter made it through the battle and is walking again.

Killer, South Africa’s true rhino saviour!

In 2016, five-year-old Belgian Malinois ‘Killer’ was awarded a medal for helping to catch rhino poachers in the Kruger National Park. Killer was one of South Africa’s best poacher tracking dogs, having caught 115 poachers before being awarded his medal. He was awarded a gold medal from the UK vet charity PDSA for animal heroes. Two-year-old Molly, a long-haired chihuahua, saved her family’s life from robbers. Molly’s continuous barking woke up her owners when a robber was standing pointing a pistol at them. Molly grabbed the robber by the leg and as he kicked Molly and told her to keep quiet, the owner grabbed his own pistol out of his drawer and fired.
