The PetSafe Microchip Cat Flap is equipped with advanced selective entry technology, designed to provide your cat with convenient access to the outdoors while effectively keeping unwanted cats and animals from entering your house.
The PetSafe Microchip Cat Flap uses a unique technology called radio frequency identification (RFID) to read your cat’s microchip ID. This means your cat doesn’t need to wear a collar or any extra stuff. When your cat comes near the cat flap, it recognises their microchip and lets them inside while keeping out other cats, wild animals, pests and strays. The cat flap stays locked for animals that don’t have a programmed microchip, so only your cat can come in.
The cat flap also has a handy Manual 4 Way lock that lets you control access to your cats that have been programmed.
The Petsafe Microchip Cat Flap is compatible with the most common type of microchip found in cats, which is the FDX-B (15-digit) microchip. If you’re unsure about the type of microchip your cat has, you can contact PetSafe for assistance, as they will be happy to help you.
