Feeding Guide
FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS FOR KITTENS: Kittens start to nibble solid food at 3 to 4 weeks of age. PRO PLAN KITTEN STARTER should be introduced at 3 to 4 weeks of age. The product should be mixed with lukewarm water (50-60°C maximum) to preserve the nutrients’ quality and to make eating easier. Refer to the Feeding Table. At 5 to 6 weeks, start reducing the amount of water added until the kitten is able to consume dry kibble. Serve 2-3 daily meals or ad libitum. After weaning, PRO PLAN can be fed moistened or dry. To help your pet maintain an ideal body condition, monitor your pet’s weight on a regular basis, making sure that their ribs are easily felt and their waist is visible when viewed from above. Feeding quantities required to maintain ideal body condition will vary, depending on age, activity and environment. Watch your kitten’s weight and adjust food amounts accordingly. Keeping an ideal body condition can impact your pet’s lifelong health. Once your kitten has reached six months of age, transition to PRO PLAN Kitten food. Mix in or complement with Pro Plan Kitten Wet Food for a texture that’s sure to please even the fussiest of eaters.
RECOMMENDED FOR PREGNANT AND NURSING QUEENS. Feeding for reproduction: PRO PLAN® KITTEN STARTER provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation.
