All large breed puppies need a slow, sustained growth to help prevent orthopedic problems, like hip dysplasia. Bring your large breed up on a food that is designed for your big baby. Acana Heritage Canine Puppy Large Breed, has all the right ingredients at the right quantities so your baby can grow big and strong without the problems.
Acana Puppy Large Breed is a premium kibble for large breed puppies.
Modern dogs are built like their ancestors and Acana believes they should eat like them too and therefore have a diet that is Biologically Appropriate. Large breed puppies should have a diet rich in meat and protein to develop their muscles, yet limited carbohydrates and calories to manage their body weight and to reduce stress on their developing bones and joints.
Acana’s recipe for large breed dogs makes use of whole eggs, cage-free Cobb chicken and fruits and veggies from the Okanagan Valley. All Acana’s ingredients are prepared from fresh and will provide all the nutrients your large breed puppy needs to develop to his full potential.

It is best to store your dog food in a cool and dry place. Once you’ve opened the bag, place the whole bag with the contents in a drum or bucket. The bag should not be placed directly on a concrete floor as there is moisture on the floor and it can migrate into the bag and cause mould. If you need to keep it in the garage, place it on a shelf or on something that’s off the floor.
Acana Heritage Canine Puppy Large Breed is available in 11.4 kg and 17 kg bags.
Acana Heritage Canine Puppy Large Breed is a super premium dog food and is recommended by Veterinarians.

Your dog is a unique individual and his feeding requirements will vary with his breed, environment, age and activity. That’s why we suggest using this chart as a starting point, and monitoring your dog’s weight and adjusting his rations as needed.
We recommend feeding your puppy twice daily and always keep fresh, clean water available.
When switching diets, it’s important to transition your dog as it takes time for his digestive system to adapt to the richer nutrient levels in Acana. Over a 7 day period, gradually mix in Acana, increasing the amount each day so that by day 7 you are feeding 100% Acana.
