Always leave your dog food in the original packaging as this has the barcode and expiration date, incase there is a recall of the food. The bag of Acana can then be stored in an airtight container. Always store the dog food in a cool dry place under 38 degrees Celsius. If you are storing your food in the garage, put the container on a shelf or on something that lifts it off the floor.

Just like you, your dog is a unique individual and his feeding requirements will vary with his breed, environment, age, and activity. That’s why we suggest using this chart as a starting point, and monitoring your dog’s weight and adjusting his rations as needed.
We recommend feeding him twice daily and always keep fresh, clean water available.
When switching diets, it is important to transition your dog as it takes time for his digestive system to adapt to the richer nutrient levels in Acana. Over a 7 day period, gradually mix in Acana, increasing the amount of each day so that by day 7 you are feeding 100% Acana.
