Scratching and rubbing of the ears and shaking of the head are common signs of ear infection. You may also notice an abnormal odour from the ear or see redness or swelling. Most ear infections are caused by bacteria and yeast, though ear mites are also a common cause, especially in puppies.

Eco-Ears supports aural function in animals. Works for bruising, bites, ear discharge, ear eczema and ear shaking. It will also treat otitis and haematoma.

Use in conjunction with:  Eco-eyes for associated eye problems, Eco-Eczema for moist eczema of ear flap, Eco-Hair for poor hair and skin quality, Eco-Heal for general first aid remedy, Eco-Scratch for dry eczema of ear flaps, Eco-Epilep for inner ear disease.

Dosage and Directions of Use

The remedy should be administered orally using a clean, dry, plastic syringe or spoon.  Administer remedy at least 10 minutes before a meal.

Animals with an acute or recent ear problem may be treated with Eco-Ears hourly for four doses, followed by three hourly treatments for further three doses, then continue three times daily until minimum pain or swelling is observed. Where ear problems are of a chronic nature begin treatment twice daily.

General Administration

  • Small Animals – Mice, Rats, Hamsters, Rabbits, tiny kittens and Puppies:  Add 1 ml of the remedy to 10 ml water in a clean container and mix thoroughly.  Administer five drops of this mixture directly into the front of the mouth.  Repeat the process up to six times daily.  Alternatively, mix 1 ml of remedy directly into 250ml drinking water
  • Cats and Small dogs under 8kg:  Add 2 ml if the remedy to 10 ml water in a clean container and mix thoroughly.  Administer 2 ml of this mixture directly into the mouth up to five times daily.  Alternatively, mix 1 ml of the remedy directly into 250 ml drinking water.  If the animal will tolerate the remedy directly into the mouth,  Administer 0.5 ml three times daily.
  • Dogs 8 – 15 kg:  Mix 1 ml of the remedy with 2 ml water and administer directly into the mouth, three times daily
  • Large 15 – 30 kg: Administer 2 ml of remedy directly into the mouth three times daily.
  • Foals and Small ponies:  Mix 3 ml of the remedy with 3 ml water in a syringe and administer directly into the mouth, three times daily.
  • Horses:  Mix 5 ml of the remedy with 5 ml water in a syringe and administer directly into the mouth three times daily,
