Advantage can be used on dogs, cats and rabbits and contains the highly effective Imidacloprid that will kill all fleas on contact within 24 hours. This spot-on treatment will furthermore prevent re-infestation on cats for the next four weeks and rabbits for at least seven days.

Advantage for Cats, what is it?

It is a fast and simple-to-use treatment for flea infestations; it will even work when wet, making it suitable for pets whose skin conditions need constant bathing.

Why should I buy this product?

Advantage kills most fleas within a day of treatment. It also helps to prevent further flea infestations for up to three to four weeks in cats and one week in rabbits. To apply it to your pet, part its coat between the shoulder blades to reveal its skin and use the pipette to spot it on in two places: at the base of its skull and two to three centimetres further back. These spots are difficult to reach for your cat or rabbit, stopping them from being able to lick it off. Treatment can be repeated after four weeks if necessary.

The medicine works even when it’s wet, meaning there’s no need to reapply it after bathing your pet.

Directions for Use

  • Hold the applicator tube in an upright position.  Pull cap off the tube.
  • Turn the cap around and place the other end of the cap back on the tube.  Twist cap to break the seal, then remove the cap from the tube.
  • For easy application, your cat should be standing.
  • Part the hair on the back of the next at the base of the cat’s skull until the skin is visible.
  • Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze out the contents thoroughly to apply the solution directly on to the skin.

Safety

Advantage for Cats is harmful if inhaled or swallowed and will irritate the eyes. When applying the product to your cat, avoid contact with eyes or inhaling any vapour, and wash hands thoroughly after use. If the product comes into contact with eyes, flush it out immediately with water.

Side Effects

Hair loss may occur at the application site.  This is usually a single occurrence and hair will grow back.
