What makes Acana different from other pet food companies?

Champion Petfoods is an award-winning pet food maker with a reputation of trust for over a quarter-century. We make Biologically Appropriate™ dog and cat foods from fresh regional ingredients and make them from start to finish in our award-winning kitchens. Our mission represents a new standard in dogs and catfoods, designed to nourish them in two ways: according to their natural evolution to a meat-based diet.

We think you’ll love ACANA. More importantly, we believe your dogs and cats will, too.

What is the best way to store your Acana Puppy dog food?

If your food is not stored correctly, it can spoil and make your dog sick. The fats in the food will go rancid, while all the vitamins and minerals can be destroyed.

Always leave your dog food in the original packaging, as this has the barcode and expiration date, in case the food is recalled. The bag of Acana can then be stored in an airtight container. Store the dog food in a cool, dry place under 38 degrees Celsius. If you keep your food in the garage, put the container on a shelf or on something that lifts it off the floor.

What are the package sizes available?

Acana Puppy Recipe come in 4 bag sizes: 340 g, 2 kg, 6 kg, and 11.4 kg, and vets recommend Acana Puppy for small to medium puppies from 8 weeks to 12 months of age.

When switching diets, it is important to transition your dog as it takes time for his digestive system to adapt to the richer nutrient levels in Acana. Over a seven day period, gradually mix in Acana, increasing the amount of each day so that by day seven you are feeding 100% Acana.
